The Marlboro Day Festival & Parade will be hosted, Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 10 am to 3 pm. The festival starts out with a parade down Main Street from 10 am to 11 am, kicking off the festival along Governor Oden Bowie Drive with tons of fun, delicious food trucks, unique sales vendors, kids' rides & activities, and free live family-friendly entertainment! Join us for a day of celebration!

How Can I Participate?
To make Marlboro Day 2024 a success, the Events Committee is seeking participants in the following categories:
 
Parade Info

Parade Information & Registration:

The Marlboro Day Parade will kick off the 2024 Festival starting at 10 am on Saturday, June 8. 2024. We encourage all Town and County residents to come out and watch the parade! 

Parade Route:
The parade will begin on Judges Drive to the rear of the Courthouse and enter into the Downtown via Water Street with a right onto Main Street. The parade will then make a left onto Governor Oden Bowie Drive and end in front of the County Administration Building where there will be a stage set-up. The route is estimated to be 0.5 miles long. *Parade starting location may change, stay tuned for updates. 

Parade Line-Up and Check-In:
Parade Line-Up and Check-In runs from 8:30 am- 9:45 am on Judges Drive located behind the County Courthouse. Please follow the signs to the check-in table and parade staging area. Town Staff will be on-site in yellow vests to provide you with your placement in the parade and answer any questions. 

All participants will need to register prior to the parade, there will be NO on-site registration. Participants who show up without prior registration will be turned away. 

Roadways Closings:
Several roadways in Downtown Upper Marlboro will be closed for roughly one hour for this parade with traffic diverted to other roadways. Some of the roadways that are anticipated to be affected include Governor Oden Bowie Drive, Water Street, Elm Street, Main Street. and Pratt Street.

The Town of Upper Marlboro is excited to host Marlboro Day Parade & Festival 2024 in Downtown Upper Marlboro. Vendors register here by using eventbrite. PLEASE NOTE: In-Town Vendors Get Early Access To Tickets Until April 13, 2024.  Tickets Will Be On Sale For Non-Town Starting On April 13, 2024.  Any questions, please reach out to Events@UpperMarlboroMD.gov or call 301-627-6905.

Government Non Profit

Government Non-Profit Booth Registration:

The Town of Upper Marlboro is excited to partner with Federal, State, County, and Local Agencies and registered nonprofits interested in having an information booth at the Town of Upper Marlboro Community Day Festival. These information booths will allow agencies and nonprofits to outreach to hundreds and thousands of Upper Marlboro area residents during the festival. There is no registration fee charge for Government Agencies and Nonprofit Information booths.

Entertainment:

The Town of Upper Marlboro is calling all area musicians, bands, performers, and other talented residents to perform during the Town of Upper Marlboro Community Day Festival. Performances will run from Noon until 2:30pm, and are limited to 30min sessions that will take place on the main stage (including 5min set up and 5 min clean up).

Volunteer MD

Volunteer:

THANK YOU for your help in making this day a success! We truly cannot do this without you. Please let us know your contact information, availability, and preference for where you would like to help out (we will not necessarily be able to put everyone in their preferred area all day, but will try)! Also, please be aware that all volunteers over the age of 18 will be required to complete a background check (at no expense to you). Also, we will provide breakfast, lunch, water, and snacks for volunteers. You are welcome to bring your own items. However, we will not have a secure place to store them, so please plan to keep all valuables with you. Volunteer parking will be arranged, and information will be provided as we approach the event.
