Town Election & Candidate Information


Town Elections are Monday, January 8, 2018 at Town Hall from 1:00pm-8:00pm

The 2018 Town election will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018. The polls will be open from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, 14211 School Lane, Upper Marlboro. If you are already registered to vote with the County, then you are automatically registered to vote in the Town of Upper Marlboro. Questions? If you are a registered voter of the Town and will not be present on January 8 from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. or are unable to physically come to the Town Hall, you can request an absentee ballot. an absentee voter application will be mailed to you, or, drop it off at Town Hall. You may request an absentee ballot application starting on Friday, December 8, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. The last day you can request an absentee voter application is Friday, December 29, 2017 by noon. The deadline to return your absentee ballot is before the polls close on January 8, 2018 at 8:00 p.m.  Please mail your written request with your name and return address to the Board of Supervisors of Elections, 14211 School Lane, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772  Questions? call:(301) 627-6905.

 

 

 

Voting Info:

  • If you are already registered to vote with the County, you are already registered to vote in the Town Election.
  • If you prefer not to be registered to vote in the County, you can still vote in the Town Election by registering at Town Hall.
  • Residents who are registered out-of-state (i.e.; military, etc.) and are at least 18, can register to vote in the Town (The deadline to register to vote was December 11, 2017).
