On-Street Parking
Downtown: The Town of Upper Marlboro maintains a total of 123 on-street single-space parking meters along Main Street, Pratt Street, Water Street, Elm Street, and Judges Drive in the Downtown area near the Courthouse and County Administration Building. These meters charge a rate of $2.50 per hour Monday thru Saturday (24hrs) and accept credit cards and coins. Free parking is offered on Sundays and Federal Holidays. Parking is enforced by the Town of Upper Marlboro Police Department and Code Enforcement Department.
Governor Oden Bowie Drive: Parking meters along Governor Oden Bowie Drive are operational from 6am-6pm Monday thru Friday with Saturday, Sundays, and holidays free. These meters charge a rate of $2.50 per hour and accept credit cards and coins.
Prince George’s County also maintains meters at the Courthouse Parking Lot on Water Street, with parking enforced by the County Revenue Authority (call: 301-772-2060 for County-issued tickets).
Church Street Parking Lot
The Town maintains a downtown parking lot at 14525 Church Street (behind Bank of America) within walking distance of the Courthouse open Monday-Friday 8 am-6 pm. Credit Cards & Coins accepted here. Parking Rate: $0.50 an hour, max 10 hours. To purchase a parking pass for $40.00 per month, or, $12 per week please call Town Hall at 301-627-6905.
Jury Duty Parking
The County offers free parking to the public at the Equestrian Center/Showplace Arena on Water Street south of Route 4. Ride the County’s free and frequent shuttle buses to the Courthouse, County Administration Building or other downtown destinations. Citizens reporting for jury duty at the Court House should park in the Equestrian Center from free parking, or utilize the above pay-to-park options closer to the Courthouse.
Mass-Transit
The Town of Upper Marlboro is also served by TheBus, Prince George’s County’s public transportation service on Routes 20, 21, 51, and 53. For other public transportation options within Prince George’s County, visit the County’s transportation page. Metro does not yet provide service to the Town.
