Certified Police Officer
This is a full-time, experience-only position as a municipal police officer with a community-oriented police department.  The person in this position conducts law enforcement and peacekeeping activities, establishes strong involvement with the community using problem solving skills to address issues of concern, and, is responsible for crime prevention and repression, traffic law enforcement, parking enforcement, protective patrol services, arbitration in neighborhood and family disputes, apprehension and arrest (or citation or warning) of criminal law violators and recovery of stolen property. Starting salary range is $42,000- $55,000 depending on experience plus benefits, EOE.  Benefits include excellent healthcare and retirement plan through the State of Maryland, and take-home car after probationary period. Please submit resume to: Chief of Police/Town of Upper Marlboro, P.O.
