Town Meetings
Regular Town Meetings of the Board of Town Commissioners are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. Regular Town Meetings are open to the public and time is provided on the agenda for public comment. All meetings listed below are held at Town Hall—14211 School Lane, Upper Marlboro. MD 20772 (unless otherwise indicated).
The Board also conducts Work Sessions. Board Work Sessions are open to public observation only, but participation is at the discretion of the Board. Starting in 2018, these “Regular” monthly Board Work Sessions are conducted on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Currently, the Board will be holding Extra Work Sessions on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. until further notice.
Occasionally, the Board will call a Special Meeting, or, an Emergency Meeting should a timely business item need immediate action. Also, meetings may be rescheduled—please check our website, or call the Town Hall for these updates.
Other gatherings that include a majority of members of the Board, and involve the delivery of information from other governmental agencies, companies, contractors, etc., presented to members of the Board for consideration on topics of current Town business, will also be posted and will be open to the public—for observation only. These “gatherings” are not official meetings of the Board. The Town has adopted Rules of Order and Regulations for all meetings of the Board. Resolution 2016-02 can be viewed by clicking here.
