The Board of Town Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing immediately proceeding its June 2018 Regular Town Meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall – 14211 School Lane, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. The meeting date was postponed due to staff attendance at their Association’s Annual Conference.

The evening will start at 7:00 p.m. with a Public Hearing concerning the recently passed Resolution 2018-03: To implement and use a speed monitoring system, and establish a “School Zone” on Old Crain Highway.  A new Resolution 2018-04 will be discussed and is expected to be passed by the Board  Following the Public Hearing, the Board will reconvene to conduct the Regular June Town Meeting.

The Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Town Meeting on Tuesday May 29, 2018 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. This Special Town Meeting is being conducted so that the Board can vote to adopt Ordinance 2018-03: Town Operating Budget for FY2019, which by Town Charter directive, must allow for a 20-day waiting period after adoption, before the ordinance can become effective on July 1, 2018 (The first day of the new fiscal year 2019.) The meeting agenda consists of just this one line item.  This meeting is open to public participation.
