The Town of Upper Marlboro Police Department took delivery of it’s newest patrol unit last week, a marked 2016 Ford Police Interceptor.  This unit has been assigned to Police Sgt. Washington, with his former cruiser becoming the Department’s spare unit and the 2009 Impala Cruiser being converted to a Town Administration/Code vehicle.

The Town Offices will be Closed on Monday January 2, 2017 and reopen on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at 9am for the New Year’s Holiday.  Residential Trash, Bulk Trash, and Yard Waste will be collected on Tuesday January 3rd, 2017 instead of Monday.

In an attempt to alleviate parking problems downtown, the Town’s Church Street Parking Lot will now offer long-term parking beginning on Tuesday August 2, 2016.

The parking lot is open 8:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, at a rate of $0.50 per hour, 10-hour limit.

The Lot’s kiosk is a “Pay & Display” in which drivers must place their receipt visibly on the front dash of their vehicle after they pay to park. This is the proof of payment, failure to properly display the receipt will result in a citation. The kiosk accepts coins and credit cards. All vehicles need to be removed from the lot by 6:15 p.m. to avoid being ticketed by Town Police.

Office Closure: 

In Observance of Independence Day the Town Hall offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2016.  Our Town Hall offices will reopen on Tuesday, July 6th at 9:00 a.m. Our Commissioners and staff wish you a safe and enjoyable holiday!

Refuse Collection Change: 

Due to the holiday being on a Monday, all household refuse, bulk trash, and yard waste will be collected on Tuesday July 6, 2016. Please do not place trash out for collection until Monday evening at the earliest.

The Upper Marlboro Town Office will be closed on Monday May 30, 2016, in observance of Memorial Day. Offices will reopen on Tuesday May 31 at 9:00AM.

On Tuesday March 8th, Town of Upper Marlboro Public Works, Police, and Administration staff began the installation of new parts to the Town’s Downtown parking meters. This well-needed project includes the replacement of the clear plastic domes and meter rate information plates, along with the re-alignment & securing of many meter heads.
