…” The Preliminary Historic Sites and Districts Plan was released on December 18, 2009. It is available on the HSDP web site at www.mncppc.org/preservationplan. A joint hearing is scheduled for January 19, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Newton White mansion. Written testimony and/or exhibits will be accepted in lieu of,  or in addition to oral testimony. E-mails or faxes will not be considered, unless followed by an original mailed to the Clerk of the Council, County Administration Building, Room 2198, 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drinve, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772….”  (quoted from the December 29, letter to the Town)

The Plan calls for the addition of six new sites in the Town, as well as, the Union Methodist Episcopal Chapel Site & Cemetery just outside the Town off  Valley lane.

The Town’s position will be discussed at the January 12th Town meeting.
